Equity Research and Innovation at BU

Group of People Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives at Bastyr University are guided by the Strategic Framework founded on the principle that DEI work is everyone’s responsibility. One of the focus areas is equity in research; the aim of which is to create opportunities to support and advance research and knowledge production in the natural health arts and sciences around equity and inclusion in health care, with a view to sharing and applying this knowledge to address inequities and injustices in the health care system.

Module 3: Minorities in STEM: Barriers they face in academia and pathways to allyship (20 min)
Module 4: Reflections on making an inclusive research environment (20 min)
Module 5: How your research can make an impact on society (40 min)
Module 6: How to create impact with patient and public involvement (1 hr)
Module 7: How to integrate sex, gender, and intersectional analysis into research (1 hr)
