The Bastyr University Library is committed to creating a diverse, inclusive, and equitable environment for students, staff and faculty which is central to academic excellence and freedom. To achieve this, we aim to review, evaluate, and rectify library systems, policies and procedures to reflect DEI values outlined in the BU strategic framework (below).
Areas of focus:
Please contact the library with questions and suggestions, or we encourage you to make an appointment with any of our reference and instruction librarians.
The DEI Strategic Framework is founded on the principle that diversity, equity, and inclusion work is everyone’s responsibility. Each member of the Bastyr community must play an active role in creating and nurturing an inclusive and equitable community where each one feels seen, heard and belongs.

They are not a comprehensive overview of the field or the state of the research in the field. Librarians are available to help explore the research, and help answer questions about the context of that research.
