Q: Help - evaluating every website sounds like a pain, where can I go to get pre-screened research?
A: Library Databases!
A database pulls together thousands of journals and articles that you search all at once. Databases are organized by subject and provide searchable fields such as topic, author or title.
Here is how to choose appropriate database(s):
If you are going to use the web for research, try using Google Scholar.
Google Scholar is a database within Google that only searches scholarly papers. If you access it through the library Databases page, you'll be linked to the full-text content that Bastyr offers. Sort by date to get the most current research.

Why can't I just Google to find research? Being an efficient searcher means knowing when to use what tool. You will find the most relevant scholarly journal articles (both primary and secondary) when you search in databases.
