CINAHL (Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature) Description: Offers citations and full text articles related to nursing and the allied health fields. CINAHL indexes far fewer journals than PubMed, but nursing has always been hospitable to natural medicine and @20% of its citations and full text articles are unique. Why parentheses? Think algebra! Parentheses are necessary when you use both AND and OR in the same search; they tell CINAHL how to run the search, i.e. first look for citations with Mind Body Techniques and/or Relaxation Techniques, then, within that set of results, look for citations that were also assigned the CINAHL term, Anxiety.
