Keeping up with Clinical Research: RSS News Feeds

This LibGuide features strategies for keeping current with research.

RSS News Feeds (strategy

If you want just one efficient strategy for keeping up, set up an RSS (really simple syndication) feed. You sign up for a Reader which aggregates content of your choosing onto a single page. Here is a complete list of the types of feeds you can create including database search strategies.

You need just two things to get started:

  • register for free software called a reader, to view the feeds. Feedly is recommended but there are others you can sigh up for (see below for suggestions).
  • Once you have an account, look for this symbol or something similar that refers to sharing.

Where do I find feeds?

  • podcasts
  • photo sharing sites
  • social bookmarking sites
  • Prowl around; they're easy to find!
