The BU Libary compiled Clinical Tools to provide easy access to information and materials while on shift at the clinic. You will be delving deeper into these resources in coming weeks. You will want to explore it in its entirety on your own, but here are some highlights from the main page:

  • Provides information on diagnosis & treatment when you seeing patients
  • Summarized/synthesized with a focus on efficiency and practicality
  1. Herbs, Supplements, Drugs
  • Important b/c going to become familiar with drug & herb monographs
  • Provide detailed info, including use, dosage, contraindications, mechanism of action
  • Need for knowledge of drug-drug or drug-herb interactionsResources here have tools to help with that
  1. Clinical Research
  • Providing original research articles and systematic reviews, as well as secondary (& tertiary) materials
  • Particularly helpful if can’t find in PoC tool
