The Bastyr University Library is offering a series of workshops to build awareness around professional dissemination!

Whether you're a student or faculty researcher (or have amassed a growing body of knowledge in a specific area) you've worked hard on your projects and have results to share with others.  If you've gone so far as to join any professional memberships or organizations, you may even now have seen professional or academic conference calls for proposals in your listserves.

The Academic & Professional Conferences 101 workshops will give you a brief overview of what these conferences are, what the benefits are for attending (whether in person or online), and tips for reviewing proposals to present.

  • See examples of recent conferences in a variety of areas in natural health, public health, nutrition, psychology and more.
  • Participants will review the proposals together for a hands-on overview of how to decide whether or not you'd like to attend a specific event, break down proposals, and tips for successful submissions.
  • Learn more about our own Bastyr University Faculty & Student Research Symposium and how you can present your work to be showcased online June 14-18.
  • Recordings will be made available after the sessions on the Webinar Event pages in Canvas.

Please mark the following dates. [Self-enroll in the Canvas Course to see zoom meeting links, recordings and slides (once available)]
