BO3125: Ethnobotany & Northwest Herbs

Ethnobotany

This tutorial builds on the skills and knowledge you learned in Intro to Herbal Science and Research Methods for Herbal Science. Ethnobotany research is interdisciplinary and as such, doesn't happen in a straight line. It's important to find background information before you dive into the databases. Be curious and look for clues that you can follow up on. Google casts a wide net and for this type of research, may be the best place to begin. Critical thinking skills are crucial; be sure to evaluate every resource you use. Give it your best shot and reach out to your friendly librarians sooner rather than later if you get stuck.

Research isn't linear
