There is no single drug database that will answer all your questions, so familiarize yourself with more than one. In general, subscription databases such as UpToDate are more accurate & comprehensive. Free databases should be used for educational purposes and not be relied on for medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.

Database Options
After you graduate, consider purchasing a select few databases in order to practice efficiently. Fortunately, individual subscriptions are often reasonably priced. Some, however, are available to organizations but not individuals. Investigate your options before you commit to purchasing. For example, what resources are available at your local public and academic libraries? Talk to the librarians and tell them what you’re interested in. Below is a list of databases to consider.
