by Ekaterini Papadopoulou on 2021-05-06T11:29:51-07:00 | 0 Comments

We know from student surveys that our Bastyr community is interested in opportunities to engage in research, so here are three ways to get involved this week!

May 10th:  Deadline to submit your proposal to present at the Bastyr Student & Faculty Research Symposium!

You could present on:

  • Experimental research;
  • Applied research;
  • Literature reviews addressing research questions,
  • Faculty guided in-class research projects

Your proposal should contain at least your research topic, research questions, methods, results, data analysis, and conclusions.

Note: If you are in the process of beginning your research and have not received results, been able to perform any data analysis and thus not able to formulate any conclusions, please indicate what you plan on doing in your discussion of topic, exploration of questions and brief discussion of methods.

May 10th:  Deadline to provide input for the Research Review Committee's Survey and help shape the future of research at Bastyr University

May 15th & 16th:  Register for FREE to join the first Health in the Climate Crisis conference, hosted by Bastyr and North Sound Accountable Communities of Health.

This â€‹conference will focus on collaboration and education between community leaders and health practitioners on this most intersectional issue of our time. Lecture, workshop, and panel topics will include the following:

  • nutrition
  • food insecurity and food sovereignty
  • community engagement
  • sustainability
  • integrative clinical approaches
  • public health
  • climate activism
  • policy and advocacy
