Bastyr University Library Policies: Operations & Administration

This guide contains the policies and related procedures of the Bastyr University Library. Policies pertain to students, staff, faculty, and community users.

Mission Statement

Last updated:  June 2013

The mission of the Bastyr University library is to support the educational aims and objectives of the university in fulfilling its mission to educate future leaders in the natural health arts and sciences. This includes the goal of broadening public awareness of holistic approaches to health. The library serves Bastyr University students, faculty, staff and alumni, as well as other health professionals and community members.

The Bastyr University Library is open to all patrons for research and study on premises but, due to the small collection size and licensing restrictions for some resources, borrowing privileges are restricted for those not affiliated with the university. Local naturopathic doctors, acupuncturists, other health professionals and students from designated schools may receive borrowing privileges for an annual fee.

The Bastyr Library Catalog allows patrons to search for books and other materials from any terminal.
